Spring Holidays 2012

Hello Hello! ^^
Ahhh~ Today is such a lazy day! But I drew a bit ;3 Got no scanner at the moment, so I will post the final result tomorrow when I've got to go back to my Apartment in Bonn!


I'm at my parents home and it's the last weekend before University starts again^^ Next Semester will be pretty cool I guess, but lots of work^^ I will visit a lecture about Korean Media and also attend the next Japanese course (my 6th one OwO). Moreover I've got to start collecting stuff for my bachelor thesis >o< ! AND I have to prepare for going to study in Japan this August ^w^! Lot's of things to do, but I hope I will be able to post a lot of Artworks though! I had lots of problems with drawing last week, but today it went pretty smooth :3 I think my art block is over! *+* It helped a lot to watch old Gazette Videos XD! I've got so many on my pc but I didn't watch them for ages, it was fun to see those old vids again and they inspired me a lot :3
Alltogether I'm happy to say that my Holidays where great, I had lots of fun and was able to spend some time with people I can't see that often :3 Moreover I got to know a lot of new people (almost just from japan XD) because I was involved in a so called "Buddy-programme" at my university. It was a nice time ;O; Haaa...but next week work starts over again XD *drop*

Favorite Artbooks

Hello my dear readers!

I'm sorry, I wasn't able to update the last few days ;O;! I'm not that creative at the moment and need to dig myself out of this down so I have no new drawings to post, but I thought about another quite entertaining thing and want to post this now ^^!
I'm always very interested in what kind of Artbooks my favorite Artists are owning and recommending and since I LOVE such posts I thought I could give a short overview about my favorite Artbooks as well :3 I won't post them all together since this would be a huge spam of pics and text, therefore I'll start with 2 of them first and continue posting others later ;3
Let's get started!



wuahaha the mountain of luck, in my eyes though XD I LOVE those books, they are great!
First one I would like to post about is:



Shinobu Takayamas Amatsuki Art Book *_* This one is just georgeus! I LOVE it. It's my favorite out of all the books I own, even if it's quite small and thin. The Illustrations are adorable and very colorfull and since I'm addicted to this artist I could not resist and bought it right away as I saw it ^^ I bought a few Amatsuki Manga too in Japan and I can just say that this Artist is one of my favorites!


Second and last for today:



Tsukiji Nao's Nostalgia Art Book! Another book I wouldn't give away EVER since it's made out of prettyness and beautiful stuff *_* Found this one in Akihabara in Japan and couldn't resist, even if my money was already quite low that day XD'' I heard that her Manha Adekan is quite popular in germany atm. ^^ Not wondering though, the Manga is pretty as hell and this Artbook contains a big amount of Artworks belonging to this series! The colors are especially great and she tends to put endless amounds of details into her pics which makes this book very pretty too ^^!

New sketch + new layout

Hello my dear readers! ^w^

Since it's Spring and everything seems to become brighter and lighter I thought about changing my Blog. I had this old layout since a very long time and I needed some changes (but I'm still not done yet, will change a few more things from time to time^^)
I think it looks more fancy now, the old one was not that bright and shiny!

The last days I couldn't really work on anything, I had several appointments and moreover my parents are redecorating my moms studio atm. and I couldn't use her light box and scanner etc..
I'm at my own apartment today and took the chance to scan the artwork I'm working on atm..







It's a picture I'm making for Mysano. She created a new character a few weeks ago and I immediately fell in love with this cute girl *_* Her name is Minoe and it was SO much fun to draw her *_* I like how her hair turned out but I guess the lineart will be no fun again -_- To many details XD!

Well well, tomorrow Rui and I are going to Essen *+* It's time for some shopping at Primark! I need to get new clothes for spring and we will celebrate the end of Rui's exam-period *+*

Some Personal Stuff todaay^^
I relaxed today, did nothing *+* I watched Sherlock (OMG it's great!) and some shows on Television *+*
Moreover I did some workout in the morning and now i'm wating for my parents to get ready cause we are going to eat at an Italian restaurant *W* This was just the perfect day XD! I'm sorry, I didn't draw today though, didn't feel like doing anything but lazying around ;3

Today's lazy Sunday look^^

Sweet Pepper

Finished the Ibuki picture ^-^ Thought I could upload some step by step pictures (but there aren't THAT many, I'm sorry XD')



I normally start with coloring the skin tones because there is a certain danger that I will smudge the other colors of surrounding objects into the white parts of the skin and if it's about skin it has to look neat and clean. After coloring it, the other colors won't be able to ruin this part of the pic anymore XD



afterwards I started the background. This time I had no plan after coloring the skin. Normaly I would go on with coloring the hair parts but this time i just went on with what I wanted to color the most.



The next step was coloring the hair and a few other parts of the background + his clothes.



The last thing I colored where those boards behind him. I couldn't decide on the right color and procastinated this part till the end ^^'
Well well :3 I think the next Pic will be one of Mysanos Character link Isn't she cute? GOT to draw her *_*!

Ibuki sketch and lines

Hello!
Today I finally started something better XD It has a Background! (omg a real background *w*)! Nowadays I'm to lazy to draw backgrounds but I wanted to practice a bit since I really suck at drawing proper BG's.
It was a pain in the ass since my rubber-pencil broke and I had to do it with the lead only XD' I need to buy a new one but since I already decided on buying a thiner one it's ok, gonna visit Düsseldorf tomorrow and buy a new one ^-^



I drew a scene of one of my Rpg's. It's Ibuki (D=Out) preparing some food for a special someone xD Hope he will be more recognizable after coloring it >o< !



I also finished the lines. Why are sketches always much more pretty then lines? durrr...
well, thats it for today^^ Have a nice evening :3

Toradora

Hello hello!
Just finished this one ^-^



Yesterday I started watching "Toradora" and it's so cute XD Especially Tenori Taiga *_* I love her nickname since it describes her character very well ^-^ Thumbs up for this anime, gonna go on watching now xD Just 6 Series left and I'll finish season 1 xD Did nothing but draw and watch anime today, this must be holidays ^-^

(btw. this is what happens if I have no Idea what to draw and just start drawing with my wacom^^ I think this is what my pictures would look like if I'd use acrylics or oil based paint ^^)

I'm back XD Well...back...is not the right word, but I sketched a bit XD'
At the moment my head is just empty. I ca'nt imagine anything that would be worth a sketch or artwork at all. No Ideas. No inspiration. Which is probably the reason for this thingy:



I love Kingdom hearts. I really, really do. But not this shitty task where you have to escort minnie XD'' I HATE this part of the game XD JUST HATE IT. But I drew this XD Makes no sence at all hum? Well, no ideas at all as I told you, therefore this just...came..out of my pen while drawing. It's not even half harted. It's junk because I drew something that I did'nt like at all. The fuck is going on with me? I need inspiration ;__; I need something worth to be drawn ;_; Any suggestions? Bands? Anime? Music in general? Something? I'm desperate atm. ;___;

(But theres one good thing about this sketch XD I like how Sora turned out!
